The main objective of the Secondary Vocational Education Department (SVED)
“Information Technologies” is to train specialists with secondary specialized IT education.
The Secondary Vocational Education Department “Information Technologies” trains specialists in the following specialties:
It was organized by the order of the Rector in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 4512/1 dated June 30, 2023 (Decision of the Licensing Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of the KR, Protocol No. 9-12 dated June 29, 2023) License (registration No. C2022-0001 dated April 29, 2022, series LS220000554) for the right to conduct educational activities in secondary vocational education.
The first admission to the SVED for Information Technologies took place in 2023, and 30 students were admitted from graduates of the 9th grade for the specialty
“Software for Computer Engineering and Automated Systems”. Graduates of the SVED for Information Technologies are issued a diploma with the qualification:
“Software Technician”, “Technician”.
Modern computer classrooms are available for organizing the educational process in core disciplines of information technology.
SVED students study in specialized laboratories and classrooms of the university s core departments, which are equipped with modern facilities.
The teaching staff of the SVED for Information Technologies consists of 15 teachers, who are mainly part-time lecturers from the Department of Applied Informatics and Information Technologies. All teachers have higher education, including 2 Doctors of Sciences, 4 Candidates of Sciences, and 4 Excellent education workers (or “honored educators”).
Along with the educational process, students have the opportunity for harmonious personal development — they participate in various events and sports competitions both within the university and between colleges.
