SPORTS TRAINING CENTER

The Sports Training Center was established in 2014. The Sports Training Center organizes the work together with the Department of Physical Education and Sports, the University Youth Committee and the university trade union committee. The center has modern sports facilities: stadium, gym, wrestling room, outdoor playgrounds for volleyball and indoor soccer, courts for "Ordo", boxing hall, tennis hall, fitness gyms. Gyms are equipped with the new modern treadmills, the exercise bikes, the parallel bars,the tennis tables, etc.

Sports life

Physical education and sports activities at the University began in 1934. During those years, the University opened the military department, which was later transformed into the Department of Physical Education and Sports. During more than 85 years of existence, the department has achieved great results in sport. Today the university has modern sports facilities: stadium, gymnasium, wrestling room, open-air volleyball and indoor soccer fields, "ordo" courts, boxing hall, tennis hall, fitness gyms. Students of the university participate in all competitions of the republic and abroad, take an active part in the Universiade of higher educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic and take honorary prizes. At present more than 200 student athletes of various qualifications train in the national team of the university. Among them are 10 masters of sports. Team KNAU participates in the first league in the Universiade among universities. The University is proud of the prizewinners of the world championship, participants of the world university games, Asian champions, multiple champions of the Kyrgyz Republic, champions of Eurasia, champions among the universities of the Kyrgyz Republic - in various kinds of sports. Every year in KNAU are held within the university activities in six kinds of sports: competition among the freshmen, as well as competitions between the faculties. After summarizing the results, the winners are awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes. Separately, the KNAU College Spartakiada Games are held. Not only students, but also teachers are active in sports: traditionally, every year the University holds the "Den-Sooluk" Spartakiad among the faculty. Thanks to regular activities to promote physical culture and a healthy lifestyle, in recent years, the student sports movement has become much more active. University administration actively supports the development of sports and physical culture at KNAU. The athletes are offered incentives in the form of scholarships and bonuses.
